Throwback to January 1987 – I’d just been signed by Virgin Records Europe and they were A&Ring it via their London division (10 Records). I’d flown there to shoot the cover of my self-titled 4th album with a British photographer. (BTW, it was SO cold that winter the Big Ben Clock froze!) I’m ALL for women expressing themselves with fashion and style how ever they are comfortable, however, at that time, I was recovering from feeling svengalied into some compromising promo pics in my early years, so I wore a turtleneck 🙂 Lol. The label didn’t love it, but I did, and that’s what matters.
