You know … when you’re 20, you really can’t imagine that anything you do or create will have any meaning 40 years later in your life. When I wrote this tune (with George Bernhardt) back then, I was hoping to empower people to smash gender stereotypes and see that women could do anything – and I mean ANYTHING – a man could do. The costume may be “of its time” … lol … but the song, and its message, has endured which I’m surprised at, and so grateful for.
