Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. We had a super time with the kids tonight trick or treating! Angella insisted that I dress up as Susan Pevensie (the oldest Susan Pevensie ever…) from Chronicles of Narnia because she was dressing up as Lucy. I even had to brave the embarrassment of volunteering at her school today in costume. And I say embarrassment only because it wasn’t like I was super dressed up – like a zebra or a construction worker – I was dressed up in … well … Metal Queen-ish type of clothes. I mean, minus the breast plate (which I scored at the local dollar store today), I already had all these items in my wardrobe. So far I’ve managed to skulk around the schoolyard relatively incognito – aside from a few of the moms I know quite well – but people were really giving me the “I know that Xena person from somewhere” look today. My cover may be blown … I’m not sure. Next year I’m going as a Twinkie … or that snail from SpongeBob SquarePants.
