Throwback Thursday #150

Barely 21 year old me, first appearance at Reading Festival UK 1983! I had never played in front of 50,000 people before in my life. We were so broke, we managed flight money but slept on Kerrang journalist Paul Suter’s floor. I learned back then that if the UK crowd loves you they hurl 2 Litre plastic bottles – partially filled with beer – onstage. They also do the same if they don’t like you, only they’re filled with something else. 🥺 I dodged a fair amount of bottles that day…lol…but the critics loved us, so all good!
