This Day In Lee Aaron History

This day in Lee Aaron history – May 31, 1985 Lee played three songs live on the ECT show on British Channel 4. ECT (Extra Celestial Transmission) was broadcast live in front of an audience from Channel 4’s studio in Wembley in London. The first episode of ECT was aired on April 12, 1985 and featured Motörhead, Madam X, Lords Of The New Church and Magnum, and the last show aired on June 14, 1985 with She, Trash, Magnum, and Warlock. Each artist played two or three songs live on the show that was broadcast on Fridays from 5:30 to 6:10 as part of Channel 4’s “Friday Zone”.

The May 31 show featured The Gunslingers, The New Torpedos, Venom, and Lee Aaron. The studio had two opposite stages, so as soon as one band ended on one stage the next band started on the opposite stage. A little bit of trivia is that the guys from Venom were mooning Lee from their stage when she played.
