I have a few connections and have seen the official footage from the Sweden Rock Festival, the footage that will be included on the DVD . . . F’ with the U-tube video’s, the real deal is an awesome spectacle ! Every Lee Aaron fan needs to have the DVD !!!
The most recent incarnation of her band is awesome. Even her older tracks sound so much better without all of the . . . ? . . . excess of the 80′s (over production). Like “Baby Go Round” for example (IMHO- the live in Sweden version is the best ever). And I hear it may end up on her new “best of” collection . . .
In one song (during the live in sweden concert), “Some Girls Do”, towards the end, she all of a sudden break’s into a Jazz version of the song. It’s freak’n brilliant ! She has so much talent and her voice is amazing.
As a grown up rocker, I love both her old and new stuff. Her Jazz stuff, although jazz is not really my thing, I Freak”n love it ! I think her jazzy tunes actually allow her to show just how talented she is . . . really allow her to use her voice to it’s potential. Heck, R&R was probably holding her back . . .
It’s coming soon and I can’t freak’n wait !
I was lying in the grass just chilling, my eyes closed and hearing Lee Aaron for the first time. Then suddenly i hear Handcuffed To A Fence In Mississippi. My face was a big smile rest of the day. I love Jim White and “No Such Place” is one of my all time favorites. Anyone covering Jims songs will get my money. (well, you already got them in Sweden once:)) Looking forward to buying this and relive that moment.
